Lot Description:A group of archaic or archaistic bronze and gold artifacts
the shell money of Shang dynasty, the rest possibly Zhou dynasty or later, comprising a gilded shell money, 11 pieces of spade money, a circular gold leaf in the shape of a coin money, a bronze seal, and a bronze figure of a pig with silver inlays, the spade money of varying size from 4.3cm and 9.8cm long, the bronze figure 13.0cm long (15). -
Provenance:Private collection, Tokyo, acquired privately from an American officer of GHQ (General Headquarters, the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers in occupied Japan) after the WWII (by repute)
