  Two Fine Old Abelam Woven Headdress, Notu Wosera Area, Southern Abelam, Prince Alexander Mountains, East Sepik Province,
  Papua New Guinea, Mid-20th Century. This beautiful old Headdress is tightly woven and ochre painted & with a bright pink colour likely bought at the trade store. The Abelam love bright colours not found in nature and were acquired as prestige materials used on their most important ceremonial objects.
