  A Fine Pair of Old Canoe Prow Ornaments, Geelvink Bay, Northwest Coast of West Papua (Irian Jaya) Indonesia. Early 20th Century
  both on custom stands.

• Provenance:
  Todd Barlin field collected these in 1986
• Notes:
  These were off very old large war canoes that were no longer made or used but the canoe ornaments were kept as family heirlooms & had traditional wealth value and were used in bridal dowry payments. Both of the finials have well carved Korwar Ancestor Figures.
