    Chewing Betel nut is an important part of ceremonial occasions in the Sepik River societies. The implements are beautiful made and decorated and in this instance the Lime Container & Spatula are also a musical instrument, the ribbed carving on the lime spatula makes a percussion sound when putting into & taking out of the bamboo container.
