    1840 (Nov. 24) REMAIN PASS for SAMUEL HARRIS
    issued by the Superintendent of Convicts at the Police Office Launceston, allowing Harris to travel from Launceston to George Town in the service of a Mr George Wilson, countersigned by the Constable of George Town on November 25th 1840. A physical description of the prisoner is provided on reverse: being 18 years old, of fresh complexion, a groom, who had arrived aboard the “Recovery” (in October 1837), on a sentence of 7 years for an undisclosed crime.
