Lot Description:Rare Fine Turkish Ottoman Yataghan Sword
Blade dated c.1570, inlaid with gold koftgari work, depicting old Arabic script writing and pattern welded in an Ottoman style known as `Turkish Ribbon' 21? long The hilt and scabbard are later refurbishment, dating early 19th century, as many of these swords were passed down through generations. Decorated with silver and silver-gilt repousse work and coral cabochon stones Sword length: 72cm -
