Lot Description:Finely Carved and Ochre Painted Basket Hook Figure, Middle Sepik River Area, PNG
carved by a master carver in the 1960s it was collected by a teaching working in PNG. Depicting a primary Janus ancestor heads with an eagle totem on his head and flanked by two masked faces. A very beautiful sculptural pieces that can be viewed from all sides.
