• Notes:
  Frederick Tickell (1857-1919) was a Naval Officer of the Royal Naval Reserve, promoted to Lieutenant in 1889 serving onboard 'Rapid'. In 1897 Tickell was promoted to Commander of the Victorian Naval Services. Tickell enjoyed a distinguished career, eventually being promoted as Captain and after Federation he became the third highest ranking Officer in the Commonwealth Naval Forces.
