  An Aboriginal Shield from the La Grange Region, Kimberley, Western Australia, Early 20th Century
  an unusual variation with prolific incised design to face with ochre infill decoration. In the main, shields from this region have the carved interlocking key design to the reverse, however, on this particular example, the artist has chosen to display the design to the front, making for a rare variant, and a welcome addition to any Aboriginal shield collection.
