Notes:Henry d'Anty , is a French painter, born under the name of Maurice Henry. Henry d'Anty studied art at the Académie Julian and developed a great deal of affinity with the artists of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière . His palette is colorful. It is dominated by a powerful ruby ??red with which it generally combines ocher and blue. D'Anty paints large impastos which are superimposed on each other and saturate the canvas with their luminous intensity. Then, he identifies the essential shapes of the painting by underlining them, here and there, with black touches. The material, the shine and the choice of colors in his paintings are reminiscent of enamel. D'Anty paints scenes of rural life, country festivals and still lifes. He is inspired by Brittany , Béarn and the north of France in his landscapes despite an inspiring Montmartre life.
