Born at Napperby Station, Cassidy Tjapaltjarri was a leader and spokesman for the painting group in the Mt. Allen (Yuelamu) community. Cassidy is the brother of Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri (they have the same father but different mothers). The Tjapaltjarri men are custodians of the Janganpa Jukurrpa (possum dreaming). This story is about a 'Janganpa' ancestor who travelled across the land visiting various sites during the time of the Jukurrpa, known as the dreamtime, including one site called Jangankurlangu which literally means 'belonging to Possum'.
