Notes:Frogs (Nungi) are sacred to the Aboriginal People of Northern Australia. They live near waterholes & in creek beds, which belong to a particular tribe. Aboriginal people may drink water from rock holes or river soakages, occassionally they must perform special rituals to please the Spirit Ancestors, who created the frogs in the Dreamtime. The Frong is often regarded as the creatof to the Thunder Storms, which bring much needed rain to desert regions in times of drought.
