  Signed "Frank Hinder" (centre lower back).

  Angeloro Collection - Acquired: 1994 from a family member.
• Notes:
  Frank Hinder's sculptures have only been for sale a small number of times. Although best known as a painter, graphic artist and printmaker, Frank Hinder also produced modernist sculptures for his own pleasure. In the mid-1920, Frank Hinder attended East Sydney Technical College, most likely studying under Rayner Hoff. However, it appears that Hinder didn"t take any exams, as there are no records of his results. At ESTC, Hinder met sculptor Lyndon Dadswell (1908-1986), who was a fellow student, the two men becoming lifelong friends. Carving tool and guidance were close at hand with his wife Margel Hinder being an accomplished carver of stone and wood.
