    A Japanese Kyoto Tea Bowl, Chawan, Generous Round Body with a Spiral in the Tea Well, Meiji Period 1868-1912
    An overall clear glaze & exquisite over-glaze enamel decoration of scholars in procession and seated around a table. The tea bowl has been a favourite and used extensively over time.
    H 8 cm Dia 11.5 cm
    Unmarked and without box.

    Private collection.
  • Notes:
    Condition: At some stage it was accidently broken and then restored with lacquer and gold , with ongoing use wear to interior repairs.
