  • Notes:
    UDAGAWA Housei was born in Hagi and after graduating from high school built a kiln with his elder brother, Seikoku. In 1982 he built his own Hakuto-zan kiln and around 1983 in an area away from Hagi and completely surrounded by nature. He held his first solo exhibition in 1983. His work is much sought after by collectors drawn by the originality and quality of his work, but also influenced by its rarity resulting from his premature death.
