Lot Description:A Rare Four Armed Avalokiteshvara is the Principle Deity of Tibetan Buddhism, Chenrezig, Mustang, Northern Nepal, 18th/19th Century
sculptured in wood, the Bodhisattva represents the compassion of all Buddhas, adorned with a crown in front of a jewel encrusted aureole, two hands joined in the mudra of reverence, and one hand holding the crystal rosary & the lotus, seated on a lotus petals, painted with vegetable and mineral pigments.
H 40 cm L 24 cm -
