    this is a very fine "Mwai", elegant form, wonderful aesthetics, attached to the woven cane body costumes, tumbuans, for use in the Naven ceremony.
    99 x 27 cm
  • Provenance:
    Collected by Arshak Galston, manager of the Angoram Hotel in the early & mid 1960s. He brought a large collection to Australia in the early 1970s, most were sold at auction in Sydney in late 1980s although a few stayed with the family Private Collection Sydney
