  includes: a fine watercolour and ink drawing by Augustus Hamilton, entitled 'Carved Doorway of a Maori House'; a watercolour entitled 'Ruapehu from Tauharo', initialled; a watercolour of a Maori woman and child; two watercolours by Ina Lea 'The Sundowners', Muritai 1917 and sunset landscape; an ink portrait of R.J. Seddon; a watercolour programme '1906 HMS Challenger, 21st September 1906'; together with a newspaper cutting describing 'The Strange Adventure of Miss Hamilton' when she fell overboard; a hand sketched unique postcard by Major H.G. Robley, Maori themed, 'Wishing you a 'Pah'Tiki'larly 'Mere' New Year'; an Elsdon Best hand-written Maori quotation with translation, signed and dated 2-7-1930; an E. Spicer watercolour of Auckland Harbour, signed; and various original photos, letters, cards, cuttings, A. Hamilton original book plate 'Dominion Museum Wellington', original sketches of Maori designs, etc., etc. The leather covered book measuring 230 x 150 x 28.
