Lot Description:Three early French charts of parts of New Zealand
printed as a single leaf, from the Atlas published Paris 1827 following Duperrey's voyage in La Coquille (1822-1825), including the lower part of the South Island and Stewart Is., Chalky Inlet and the North Island (this chart is the earliest work to portray ìTaranaki Bay,'' a mythical feature that appeared in many maps between 1826 and 1840). 510 x 360. -
