Lot Description:An old Chinese scholar’s rock (Gongshi or ‘spirit’ stone)
naturally formed with various holes and water worn surfaces, the central base fitted to a carved hardwood stand raised on five restrained scroll legs, the stone of dark grey colouring. Height 385, maximum width 240. -
