  A magnificent Maori carved greenstone large mere
  of exceptionally fine proportions, the traditional long spatulate blade with intact fine edge tapering to a near parallel sided grip of oval section, the rounded butt with seven sharp grooves, hourglass tapered suspension hole, darker green towards the butt, lightning towards the blade end. Length 430, maximum width 100. Not registered.
