OLIVE JORY (b.1889) Actress with J.C.Williamson Theatres, a Collection of photographs & Theatre Programmes
After marrying Henry Jory whilst on a tour in Shanghai post WW1, she established a professional theatre company on behalf of the British Colony. Her productions were current popular plays and she imported a number of prominent actors to perform. The collection includes photograph album of the production 'Arcadians' Shanghai 1930, a number of programmes from her productions at 'The Bayside Little Theatre' c.1950's after her return to Australia.
