hand coloured engraved map in 2 x strips showing the course of the Dnieper River from Cherkasy to the estuary on the Black Sea, made by Willem Janzsoon Blaeu in Amsterdam, circa 1635, originally prepared by Tomasz Makowski (1575-1630), composed of 2 x joint leaves, framed, condition generally good, usual folds, some minor damage to area of join, and lifting of paper to area under scale to the upper left hand side of the right hand cherub, image size 75.5cm x 32.5cm, overall map size 80.5cm x 39.3cm -
