Lot Description:A late 19th Century beige silk dress, the beige silk has a woven abstract self-colour design
comprising a bodice with large leg-of-mutton sleeves, a high neck with front hook and eye fastening and lace detail to centre front and cuffs, label to the inside waistband reads ""Melle Crespiny, Robes & Manteaux, 69 Rue Narteau Bruxelles""; the skirt has a flat front and a pleated bustel back with an unusual pocket-like bag to back (possibly to insert a bum pad), the lower section of the lining is made up of strong violet silk with lace trim. In general good condition (2) -
