Notes:This fascinating work captures the many issues arising from the first three days of the Second Test at Melbourne (Dec.29, 1962 - Jan.3, 1963). Captions make reference to Melbourne’s changeable weather, the slow batting rate, the fall of Australian wickets at 111, 112, 112, 155 and 164, Neil Harvey’s 1st Innings “duck”, the “rescue” of the Innings by the “Old Brigade” (Slasher - Davo - Benno), Fred Trueman’s bowling (“Frolicsome Fred”) and the arrival of the Bedser twins to watch the game.England won the Test Match by 7 wickets.
