  • Notes:
    Gerd Hiort Petersen (1937-) was born on the island Bornholm and was the first female potter apprentice on Bornholm when she came to Michael Andersen & Sons pottery in 1954. She studied a couple of years at Akademie für angewandte Kunst in Vienna, Austria and also a couple of years at the Danish School of Arts & Crafts in Copenhagen. Beside working for Royal Copenhagen she also worked for the Bornholm based pottery Søholm. From 1973 she ran her own ceramic studio together with her husband Hans Munck Andersen on Bornholm.
