Lot Description:An Archaic Bronze Ritual Food Vessel & Cover, Dui, after Eastern Zhou Dynasty, BC 7th C.
decorated with a band of S scrolls above a zigzag frieze of triangular shapes, each within concentric circles, the ovoid form stands on three ring shaped legs with hooked feet, the cover completing the form & decorated the same & cast with two circular handles near the waist <R>Note: Dui are grain containers used in ancestral rituals, the cover is the same as the base when removed
