  • Provenance:
    Acquired by Margo Lewers in the 1950s on a trip to China - thence by descent to her niece the granddaughter of A G Plate, artist, writer, photographer & merchant seaman. He voyaged throughout the Pacific from 1887 until late 1903 & throughout the Dutch East Indies & Asia from 1901-1907, while he was writing a book: A Cruise Through Eastern Seas.
