  Kosolawat Kid was born in Srisaket Province, Northeast Thailand to Merchant parents. In1936 he moved to Bankkok to study at Silpakorn University & later at Poh Chang College of Arts and Crafts. He married & had five children. He was president of Thai Fine Arts Association and an art professor at Poh Chang College of Arts and Crafts in Bangkok,
