    circa second half of the 19th century, both women seated in three-quarter portrait poses, beautifully hand tinted and gilded, both women believed to be from Australia's most important Colonial furniture making families based in Hobart, 'Whitesides & Sons' established by James Whitesides who arrived in Hobart in 1832
    cases approx. 9.3cm high x 7.9cm wide x 1.8cm deep

    Vendor obtained ambrotypes in Tasmania in 2010 from Peter Woof of Evandale Antiques, from the Vera Whitesides Estate
