  the hinged two-sectional ovoid body opening to a gilt wash interior, the lower section inset with a removable grill pierced and engraved with Australian floral motifs, centred by an 18ct gold model of a cracked walnut, raised on a standard cast in the form of a tree trunk, with a group of Australian native animals gathered at its base, raised on a polished hardstone agate base, housed within a hardwood box with a single glazed door
