    Note: Master potter, Tezuka Gyokudo [1896-1977] used coloured slip to create birds & fish on a plain ground, he established his kiln in 1916, fitted box.

    Acquired 30 years ago, from the Major Johnson collection. The vase had been in storage from the 1950s.
