  "The urn series relate to borrowed landscapes and to the way plants are pulled down by gravity, but how they also escape it" - Christine Hellyar. Flutter is a classical urn adorned with leaves; pearched on its crest as if they were small, delicate wings. The piece is elegant, with whimsical surprise and delight. It is as if this urn could levitate into a scene from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Pale green, quiet and unassuming, Flutter is paradoxically barely there yet also firmly substantial.  There is an intrinsic lightness of being to Christine Hellyar’s cast bronze work Flutter that is utterly compelling.
