BURMAN, William J. - Dominick Sonsee, the smallest man in the world, Melbourne, circa 1880.
Albumen print photograph carte-de-visite, 101 x 65mm, with imprint of Burman Photo, 209 Bourke St. East & St. George’s Hall.
Notes:

Sonsee was born in Geelong in 1850. He managed to make a living as a travelling sideshow performer in the 1870s and early 1880s but died at the young age of 33 in Temora, New South Wales.
