  A very large Maori pre-European adze
  large type 1A (Duff), early form, very dark grey-black Metasomatised argillite, well formed tang with curved shoulder, hammerdressed on front, back, sides and butt, but not the poll. Blade flaked only, deep quadrangular cross-section. Length 370, width 97, depth 63. Reg. Y14555.
