  A massive Japanese mid-20thC carved wooden Ainu bear
  he stands on a base of large waves with one paw raised and an open snarling mouth, dark and pale finish. Carved by the Ainu craftsman in Hokkaido, North-east region of Japan, a traditional folk craft of Japan’s indigenous people. Minor damage. 900 x 800 x 1030.
