Lot Description:A Pair of Blackwood, Hongmu Armchairs, Nanguanmaoyi, Qing Dynasty, mid 19th Century
a humpbacked toprail, supported on curved corner posts extending to the back legs, above a rectangular frame with hard seat, the S-curved backsplat with a carved character panel, the curved armrests supported by square shaped uprights, the square-section legs joined by continuous aprons and stepped stretchers.
