  • Notes:
    The Morven Estate Curatorial Services records state that this painting is: A story board of major historical significance which depicts the move by the Pintupi and Luritja peoples from Papunya, and the establishment of Kintore Community to the west. The story is told in the Pintupi and Luritja languages and announces the importance of the new Kintore Hospital to the Aboriginal people. Translation: ‘A long time ago our people went east towards Haasts Bluff, towards Papunya too. All our relatives were passing away, and we all come back to Walangurru (Kintore) to stay in our home country. We will stay forever at our place, for our own Aboriginal people. This hospital is for our children, for men and women, for every one of us.”
