• Notes:
  Dermont Hellier (1916-2006) was a well-regarded Melbourne artist, who studied at the NGV school with Charles Wheeler and Septimus Power and painted regularly with Ernest Buckmaster. He had numerous solo exhibitions in Australia and overseas and his work is represented in the collection of the Queensland Art Gallery and several regional galleries, as well as the Queen Mother's Collection at Clarence House. According to Dermont Hellier's archive, Griffiths framed this painting himself.
