Notes:Reference: This work is stylistically, and in subject-matter, very similar to a watercolour held by the Alexander Turnbull Library, National Library of New Zealand, by Robert Park (refer http://timeframes.natlib.govt.nz, ref. no. A-090-007). Park was in Wellington in 1847 and the view is very much from the same view point, Eccleston Hill, behind Parliament, with Government House and the first St Paul's Church featuring.
