  SYDNEY EXHIBITION BUILDING: Group of six albumen photographs
  titled "Sydney International Exhibition, 1879. Weekly Progress of the Works at the Exhibition Buildings", for 17 March 1879, 7 April 1879, 15 April 1879, 22 April 1879, 28 April 1879 & 19 May 1879, each photograph 29x23cm with date in image, four on card mounts 61x47cm (the other two trimmed to edge of photo). Mounts with some toning and peripheral faults, one photograph toned, others generally in very good condition. A remarkable group. The construction cost of the Sydney Exhibition building was £191,800 or approximately $13 million at today's equivalent. The Exhibition attracted 1,117,536 visitors.
