  A map ‘ANZAC Position, Gallipoli Peninsula, 6 inches = 1 mile’
  (showing contours, lacking grid) drawn by W.J Warneford, General Staff, ANZAC, June 1915 two months after landing and lithoed by the Printing Section GHQ MEF. There were few military maps of Gallipoli in existence in 1915. As a result, officers had to produce their own maps until military surveyors produced suitable maps. Paper laid on linen. 530 x 415. Framed.
