  451 Cal; 33" barrel; f to g bore; std front & rear sights; front band fitted with a bayonet boss; plain lock plate marked ROYAL CYPHER VR 1863 ENFIELD; rear of back sight marked WHITWORTH PATENT; slide on ladder to back sight marked HC; iron furniture of the period with numerous inspection, acceptance stamps; sharp profiles; crisp & clear markings; bluish grey patina to barrel, wearing thinner near the back sight; grey patina to lock, hammer & iron furniture; vg stock with minor bruising; rhs of stock marked RN with a sml Royal Cypher in the centre, ENFIELD 1; all complete with snap cap & chain & correct rod; gwo & cond. A rare item for the British military collector, not often offered for sale.
