  Australian Colonial Issue Tower 1856 Patt, Bar On Band, Short Rifle
  577 Cal; 33" barrel; f to g bore; std front & rear sights; bayonet boss to front band; lock plate marked ROYAL CYPHER over VR 1860 TOWER; iron furniture of the period; slight wear to profiles but clear markings to lock; silver grey finish to barrel with areas of pitting near the bolster & breech; grey patina to lock, hammer & furniture; f to g stock with minor bruises, rhs of butt marked N.S.W. over 14 over N, (possibly a later addition?); all complete with snap cap, chain & cleaning rod; gwo & cond.
