Lot Description:British Webley & Scott Mk.1 S/A Pistol
455 Cal; 7 shot mag; 127mm (5") barrel; exc bore; lhs of slide marked WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD PISTOL SELF LOADING 455 MK.I, dated 1913 on the front of that marked with Webley & Scott winged bullet trade mark logo; sharp profiles; crisp & clear markings; retaining 90% orig blue finish with slight wear to slide & grip frame; exc blk chequered plastic grips; fitted with grip safety & lanyard ring to base. Presented in its orig leather carrying case; W. McC (William McClure) marked to top of lid; beautiful leather outer cover, partitioned & lined in red velvet with cleaning rod, oil bottle, spare mag, turn screw & rods. William McClure has a big military history, born in Sth Africa, served with the 16th Lancers for 14 years, he joined the Australian Army in WWI & was a Farrier Qtr Master Sergeant, 4th D. Service record & a few photocopies of different items included. -
