  British 1879 Patt Naval Dirk
  vg 8" single edged blade with acanthus leaf decoration & British Coat of Arms; obverse side has acanthus leaves, ROYAL CYPHER & fouled anchor; no visible maker present; brass cross pc with acorn tips, slightly bent; hilt cross guard also has an oval medallion with crown & wreath & fouled anchor; dirk fitted with white fish skin grips bound with woven copper wire; lion's head pommel & back pc with sword knot ring to pommel; complete with correct brass mounted leather scabbard, leather has a few chips & marks but generally g.; locket marked H.P.B.; all complete. A good example of a Naval dirk.
