  by George Wosdenholm & Sons; g. 8" clip point blade with a few areas of v.v. fine pitting near the point & at ricasso, address to lhs; ricasso marked IXL; cast German silver cross guard; stag horn grip panels with a German silver rectangular escutcheon to the lhs; complete with orig & correct paper mache scabbard with German silver throat; with frog button, gold embossing around the edges & IXL to lhs; leatherette red covering is scratched & v. faded; generally vg cond. C.1860.
