Lot Description:S.Nock S/B Flintlock Rifle
15 bore; 30½" damascus oct barrel; f to g clean bore; dovetailed front sight with one standing & 2 folding rear sights; rear of sight marked S.NOCK LONDON 180 FLEET STREET LONDON GUN MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY; gold poincion to breech marked S. NOCK LONDON with single gold band; stepped lock plate engraved with stand of flags; bolted safety; fitted with a swan necked cock, rollers to the frizzen & re-enforced pan; expertly restored to flintlock by the late Robert McCarthy; steel butt plate with pineapple finial showing a bit of wear to the bow of the lock; single set trigger; g profiles; clear engraving & address; lovely soft brown patina to barrel; silver grey finish to lock, hammer, t/guard & fittings; ½ stock with steel forend cap, sml cheek pc, chequering to wrist showing wear o/w good with minor bruising; all complete; gwo & cond. -
