Printed text on margin: Drawn by W. Strutt, Engraved by Thomas Ham, 1857, This View was taken on occasion of the Opening of PRINCE'S BRIDGE IN THE CITY OF MELBOURNE By His Honor C.J. Latrobe, November 15th, 1850, one of the 3 days rejoicing on intelligence being received of the ROYAL ASSENT to the AUSTRALIAN COLONIES CONSTITUTION ACT, which conferred on the Province of Port Phillip the long desired boon of SEPARATION from New South Wales - & is respectfully inscribed to the Colonists of Victoria, by their Obedient Servant THOMAS HAM. -
