• Notes:
  The complete issue for November 1771 in which Magra’s anonymous account of Cook’s discovery of the east coast of Australia – the first published account – is reviewed. A somewhat sniffy review, a great deal of notice is given of the events surrounding the spurious dedication of the book to Banks and Solander and the subsequent withdrawal of the offending leaf.
